Odaily Planet Daily News: Various DeFi protocols generated significant revenue in 2024, with many mature protocols' revenues approaching the highs of 2021, while newer platforms have become important contributors. Specifically, pump.fun stands out in the Solana ecosystem, generating $313 million in fees in 2024, averaging $31 million per month, with an average monthly growth rate of nearly 77%. Additionally, Jito's revenue also saw explosive growth, increasing from $5 million in January to a total revenue of $603 million by the end of the year, with an average monthly growth of around 79%. Meanwhile, Ethena experienced a surge in fees in recent months. In January 2024, Ethena's fees were only $1.7 million, but by the end of the year, the fees collected by Ethena exceeded $267 million. Notably, over 54% of Ethena's annual revenue was generated in the last three months, during which the average monthly growth was 150%. On the other hand, MakerDAO's revenue far exceeded the historical record of $12.8 million set in May 2021 and the $32.6 million record set in April 2024. As of the time of writing, MakerDAO's revenue from last December was close to $40 million, a 38% increase from the previous month. The total fees generated for the year exceeded $313 million, representing a 176% increase compared to 2023. Despite the revenue growth, the MKR token fell 10% over the year. For Aave, 2024 marked its recovery, nearing historical highs. Its December revenue reached $60.9 million, close to the peak of $65.39 million in October 2021. Throughout the year, Aave generated a total of $389 million in fees, averaging $32.4 million per month, with a stable monthly growth rate of 14%.
