AI technologies are becoming increasingly popular, and this has attracted major market players. According to analysts from Crunchbase, companies like Microsoft, NVIDIA, Amazon, and Alphabet significantly increased their investments in startups related to artificial intelligence algorithms in 2024.

The most notable investment in the industry was the $6.6 billion raised by OpenAI — this deal involved Microsoft and NVIDIA. The second largest investment came from Alphabet, which spent $5.6 billion on the Waymo autonomous taxi service. Third was Amazon, which invested $4 billion in Anthropic — the developer of the chatbot Claude.

The leader in the number of deals in 2024 was Alphabet, participating in 87 funding rounds. Meanwhile, Microsoft made 34 deals, NVIDIA — 27, and Amazon — 10. However, Apple did not invest in any external projects, although it did join the race for AI technologies.
