Montenegro announces extradition of Terraform Lab co-founder to U.S.
PODGORICA (Reuters) - Montenegro's Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday that it had extradited Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to the U.S. A South Korean national, Kwon is the former CEO of South Korea-based Terraform Labs, the company behind TerraUSD, a "stablecoin" designed to maintain a fixed price of $1 that roiled cryptocurrency markets and crashed in May 2022.
South Korea also wanted Kwon extradited.
