Techub News: The referendum proposal on 'Charging a protocol fee for each message' for the LayerZero interoperability protocol did not reach the quorum, and the LayerZero protocol will maintain its no-fee status.
This vote marks LayerZero's first 'Fee Conversion Referendum.' The fee conversion referendum will take place every six months, allowing ZRO holders to periodically reassess and adjust the protocol fees to accommodate the evolving needs of LayerZero. If the quorum is not reached, the voting requirement for the circulating supply in each subsequent vote will decrease by 5% (down to a minimum of 20%).
