What do you enjoy in your free time?
I divide my free time into various activities to achieve a balance between physical and mental health. I like to have leisure time, such as watching a good movie, a documentary about technology or something curious, or simply going for a walk with my dog and doing a bit of exercise. But what I am passionate about is cryptocurrencies: I dedicate part of my day to researching, learning, and following the market. Reading blogs about new features, following experts on social media, or investing.
How did you get into the crypto industry?
It all started with browsing security and the use of personal data. I am a full-time graphic designer and visit many websites a day. One day, I was recommended a browser called Brave that was in its beta version. It didn’t show any ads or advertising, so the loading speed of the pages and security were superior, and browsing was monetizable since it had a wallet integrated, and payment was monthly in BAT (Basic Attention Token) in the same wallet of the browser. That’s how I received my first cryptos.
Who told you about crypto?
It was in August 2016. A colleague told me that he had seen a documentary about technology and economics where they talked about a new digital currency called Bitcoin.
How did you learn about the Binance Angels?
By having my first cryptos on Binance, I discovered how big the company is and the many options they offer. Curiosity was my greatest motivation: I started looking for videos and tutorials about Binance, which led me to the official blog, and there I discovered the Binance Angels program.
What motivated you to become a Binance Angel?
To begin with, I wanted to dive deeper into the crypto world, and I really liked that the essence of the Binance Angels is to help and educate. This made me reflect on all the problems, doubts, and economic losses I faced due to a lack of guidance in my beginnings. I decided to apply to the program with the sole purpose of helping others simplify their first steps in the ecosystem.
Best moment/anecdote as a Binance Angel?
One of my best memories is from the first time I presented the Binance Angels program in public, at an event outside my country, during one of the many events organized by Binance.
What do you like most about the Binance community?
The best part of this program is undoubtedly its people, their empathy. We are dozens of Binance Angels in Latin America, and it feels like a family. I have never met most of them, but every time we talk, there is a sense of trust and respect. We constantly communicate with direct employees of Binance, receive support with inquiries and problems raised by users on the various social media platforms we moderate. We feel very heard and are invited to official events.
What qualities should a Binance Angel have?
Personally, I think a huge spirit of collaboration is needed, as well as honesty and integrity. It is also essential to share Binance's vision: the construction of the blockchain ecosystem can only be achieved through education and guidance.
