How to do short trading well? The most important word in short trading is 'most'! How to understand this? It means that only the latest and most popular stocks can attract capital attention, which will lead to a large amount of short-term capital to take on the trades. When the market presents newer options that align more with the current atmosphere, the previous 'most' will be abandoned by capital, leading to a correction. The margin for error varies in different cycles or trends. When the market is doing well, the top one, two, and three can all make money; however, when the market declines and the margin for error decreases, only the top one can make a profit, while the others cannot withstand the pressure. Therefore, short trading is a game of finding the 'most', always keeping yourself in the current 'most' to naturally avoid risks. The reason I want to discuss this with you today is that retail investors tend to get too entangled, constantly engaging with weak stocks and those that have risen too high, even if those stocks are no longer the 'most'. This entanglement is the root of their losses.

Additionally, beginners particularly like to set plans for themselves, such as how much to earn in a day, this week, or this month. This is their understanding of stable profitability. Is stable profitability really about this? Of course not. Profit is not a salary that is paid to you punctually every day. Stable profitability means that when there are no opportunities, you remain calm and composed like a hunter waiting for prey to appear. Once the target appears, you go all out to pursue it. Then you enjoy the rewards. If the prey doesn’t appear for three days, you wait three days; if it doesn't appear for a month, you wait a month. Successful traders never say they must earn a certain amount today or this year. Stable profitability means being decisive when a big opportunity arises and not wasting opportunities, while also being patient and not anxious when waiting. Quietly prepare for the next storm; the better prepared you are, the greater the next harvest will be.
