According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on December 19, MetaMask announced the launch of a crypto debit card pilot program in the United States. This card supports spending at any merchant that accepts Mastercard, and users can make payments using USDC, USDT, and wETH on the Linea network, with support for adding to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
According to reports, the MetaMask Card was developed in collaboration with MetaMask, Mastercard, and Baanx (Crypto Life) and is currently launched in regions such as the EU, UK, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. Unlike traditional crypto cards, this card operates in a debit card mode, allowing users to use the crypto assets in their wallets directly without needing to pre-load funds into a third party, with conversion occurring only at the time of payment. MetaMask has stated that it will expand to more regions in the coming months.
