Disney and Dapper Labs team up to launch new NFT platform.
Disney and #Flow blockchain developer Dapper Labs officially announced their cooperation to launch a new NFT platform called Disney Pinnacle.
Roham Gharegozlou, CEO and co-founder of Dapper Labs, said: "Disney Pinnacle is a new product designed from the ground up, integrating all the experience we have accumulated over the years. Fans will be able to interact with items and collect digital assets anywhere in the world and transact securely on your mobile phone.”
According to a press release, Summit Disney will own the intellectual property from Lucasfilm, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios. This means that famous characters such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Snow White or characters from the Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe series can become tradable NFT assets on the platform.
Disney Pinnacle is designed to provide a social experience that allows fans to connect with each other and share their passion for Disney. The platform also has built-in security features designed to keep users safe.
Dapper Labs is one of the most successful companies in the NFT space. The company develops several popular NFT platforms, including NBA Top Shot Moments and CryptoKitties.
The first beta of Disney Pinnacle was announced on November 14, 2023, but will only be available to users on the waitlist. The official version is expected to be launched on iOS and Android platforms later this year.
