Although $BTC reached a new high today, leading to a brief rise in small coins, it quickly fell back, especially on major trading platforms, where small coins almost universally declined.
At night, Bitcoin experienced a slight pullback, and small coins were severely sold off, with volatility nearing 10%. The rise and fall of Bitcoin has become the barometer of small coins' fate; when it rises, they bleed, and when it falls, they all sink together.
Despite the total market value breaking 3.9 trillion, Bitcoin dominates with a market share of over 57%, and funding rates also indicate weak upward momentum for small coins.
Ethereum is slightly stronger, but still cannot escape the fate of depreciating against Bitcoin. However, ETF funds are pouring in at record levels, and institutions are optimistic about its potential for a new high by the end of the year.
Currently, small coins have almost lost their identity and are entirely dependent on Bitcoin's performance. Ethereum follows suit, mirroring Bitcoin's fluctuations. Only when Bitcoin stabilizes at a new high can funds possibly flow in to drive prices up; otherwise, all efforts will be in vain.
Therefore, we can only wait for the market to clarify before deciding when to enter. Although we may miss some profits, successfully avoiding the peak makes us winners.
