The 2024 Taiwan Builder House (TBH) will be grandly held from December 14 to December 17 at the Formosa Yacht Resort in Tainan. This is the first large-scale blockchain event in southern Taiwan, bringing together renowned development institutions, investment institutions, and communities from both domestic and abroad, attracting over 50 innovative hackathon teams competing for incubation resources and substantial prizes. TBH has also invited more than 50 speakers to give keynote speeches, sharing expertise in AI and blockchain, and has carefully arranged yacht parties and social dinners, creating a deep experience that integrates innovation and diverse cultures for participants.
Cultural and technological integration, Tainan leads the trend of innovation
TBH continues to be committed to bringing together the Taiwanese blockchain community, providing a platform for developers and traders to showcase their talents, and facilitating direct communication with venture capital institutions and ecological funds. It hopes to establish Taiwan's position in the Web3 ecosystem through this event and lead it to become a major hub for Web3 in Asia.
This year, TBH is co-hosted by BuilderDAO and the Tainan City Government, with Radiance Ventures, Zombit, Ai Post, and the Web3 Association as co-organizers. It is the first innovative event in Tainan that combines blockchain and artificial intelligence, with visual designs centered around Tainan, integrating Web3 and AI themes, highlighting the charm of innovation and cultural integration. On the opening day, several distinguished guests, including Tainan City Vice Mayor Yeh Ze-Shan, Director of the Economic Development Bureau Lin Rong-Chuan, Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Hsieh Shih-Yuan, and Chairman of the Institute for Information Industry Huang Chung-Ming, will be present.
Tainan, known as Taiwan's cultural capital, is famous for its rich history and cultural heritage, while also being a hub for cutting-edge innovation, with technology hubs like the Southern Taiwan Science Park, making it an ideal location for TBH. This year marks the 400th anniversary of the city's establishment, allowing participants to explore technological innovation while also enjoying the charm of the ancient city, such as Anping Harbor National Historic Site and Tianhou Temple, and savoring local traditional delicacies in this culinary capital.
Gathering innovative forces and resources to co-create the future of Web3
TBH also brings together three major communities: Hacker, Trader, and Hunter. 'Hackers' showcase their creativity and technology through project submissions, competing for prizes and incubation opportunities, while demonstrating innovative results on Demo Day; 'Traders' can participate in trading competitions and quantitative trading workshops, vying for awards and collaboration opportunities with trading tools or high-frequency strategies. Participants can collect 'gems' through the 'Gem Hunters' activity to complete challenges and gain special rights at the conference, such as limited-edition merchandise provided by partners.
TBH has also carefully planned several off-site activities, including yacht parties that blend the beautiful scenery of Anping and private dinners held at this year's national banquet venue, providing participants with a relaxed and inspiring space for交流, creating unforgettable experiences.
In addition to the competition, TBH has invited over 50 speakers to participate in keynote speeches, discussing technological innovations and applications, including AI and blockchain.
This year's TBH has garnered support from well-known companies such as Movement, Scroll, OKX Ventures, PancakeSwap, Brevis, TrustWallet, ICP, Manta, Babylon, Bitlayer, Orderly Network, Zircult, CKB Eco Fund, CORE, and many more. It has also attracted enthusiastic participation from blockchain clubs in universities across Taiwan, collectively showcasing the collective strength and innovative potential of the thriving Web3 ecosystem.
The event has received strong support from the Tainan City Government's Economic Development Bureau and is sponsored by several companies and investment institutions, including Anti Capital, ZEUS, Delphinus Lab, Xianzhiyun Cloud Mining, HF Realx, Exsat, Followin, AC Capital, Blockbeat, etc., injecting more resources and professional strength into the event.
Furthermore, the teams that stood out in this year's Demo Day include Twin3.ai, Isle Finance, Aggregata, BuzzUp, Bitdoctor.ai, PUNDI.AI, Copex, and Diamond Island. These teams will showcase innovative results covering areas such as blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and AI, fully embodying the infinite possibilities of Web3 technology and creativity. Their participation not only adds highlights to the event but also injects new momentum into the future development of the Web3 ecosystem.
