While there is much controversy surrounding the founder of Bitcoin (BTC), the founders of other projects are well known to the public. The duo behind the OG meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) have been active in the community. One of them is Billy Markus, who goes by the stage name Shibetoshi Nakamoto and is popular on X (formerly Twitter).

DOGE’s recent performance and community engagement

DOGE’s price and network activity have been performing quite well over the past few days. The meme token has seen a massive 11% increase in price over the past 24 hours. At press time, the asset is trading as high as $0.1263, which has left most of the asset’s holders with a healthy profit.

Amid this rise, the community wondered if Markus still held Dogecoin. Meanwhile, some others were curious about how much the DOGE co-founder holds. Markus focused on the first question, revealing that he still owns Dogecoin. He broke the news to X.

A look inside Dogecoin founder’s cryptocurrency portfolio

According to recent data, Markus continues to hold DOGE. His portfolio currently includes 226,317.86 DOGE with a total value of approximately $27,558. In addition to the meme coin, he also owns several other cryptocurrencies.

Markus owns about $15,000 worth of Ethereum (ETH), $8,000 in other meme currencies, and $113,980 worth of PSPS (a cryptocurrency named after Markus’ pet). In addition, the Dogecoin co-founder appears to be a fan of Solana. He owns 801.41 SOL, which is currently worth nearly $124,000.

While Markus’ portfolio consists of a variety of assets, the amount of DOGE he owns is quite small compared to the other cryptocurrencies in his wallet.
