According to ChainCatcher, Australia's ANZ Bank announced that it has joined the "Project Guardian" led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to explore channels for broader access to tokenized real-world assets in financial markets.
ANZ Bank said in a statement it is working with Chainlink Labs and ADDX to trial interoperability between private blockchains to exchange tokenized real-world assets such as commercial paper.
Launched in 2022, Project Guardian is a public-private tokenization collaboration that aims to test the tokenization of real-world assets. Participating entities include the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and the Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA), as well as financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, Citi and Apollo. The project is exploring tokenization in the fixed income, wealth management and foreign exchange sectors.
