The Russian Federation should not be limited to existing platforms for trading cryptocurrencies and can create its own exchanges. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Anatoly Aksakov, writes TASS.

According to him, at the legislative level the authorities allow the creation of specialized platforms.

The ban has been lifted, implementation within the powers of the central bank is possible. I assume that such solutions and, accordingly, infrastructure facilities [to ensure the purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies] will appear,” the deputy noted.

He emphasized that the regulator should create infrastructure quickly, since the market is very “mobile”

Aksakov also stated that Bitcoin could be exchanged for digital rubles in the near future. With the advent of such a tool, the official allowed the need for P2P platforms based on foreign crypto exchanges to disappear.

Let us recall that on July 30, the State Duma adopted in the second and third readings bills on the regulation of mining and on experimental legal regimes (EPR). From the first, a proposal to ban the organization of cryptocurrency circulation in the country was excluded, which could prevent the creation of exchanges and exchangers outside the EPR.
