BNB Information
BNB is the native token of the Binance ecosystem, Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain. It offers a variety of use cases, including paying trading fees on the Binance exchange, being used as a means of payment for transactions on Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain, and for online and in-store purchases. In addition, BNB can be used to book hotels and flights on Travala.com, participate in token sales on Binance Launchpad, and even donate to Binance Charity.
In September 2020, Binance expanded its BNB capabilities with the launch of Binance Smart Chain, a blockchain network running parallel to Binance Chain. This made it possible to use BNB in three different formats: BNB BEP-2 on Binance Chain, BNB BEP-20 on Binance Smart Chain, and BNB ERC-20 on the Ethereum network.
