The ransomware known as Akira, which was responsible for the theft of $42 million from over 250 companies in North America, Europe, and Australia in the span of a single year, is now actively targeting business in Singapore.

The police in Singapore warned businesses not to pay ransom to the criminal actors in the event that their data was compromised, and they requested that the businesses immediately report the incident to the pertinent authorities.
