According to PANews, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has rejected Bitcoinworld's application for a virtual asset trading platform license. The application, submitted under the company name 'Bitcoin World Technology Limited,' was returned on October 10, 2023. Bitcoinworld initially filed the application on May 17, 2024.

As of now, the SFC has disclosed that a total of 14 applications for virtual asset trading platform licenses have been either withdrawn or returned. Among these, two applications were returned. Additionally, there are 14 applications currently under review, with 11 being considered for licensing and three already licensed.
