Binance to Delist Three Altcoins: NEM (XEM), OMG Network (OMG), and Waves (WAVES)
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the delisting of three altcoins, effective June 17. The affected trading pairs will be removed from both spot and margin trading. The six pairs to be delisted are:
- WNXM/USDT
- XEM/USDT
- OMG/USDT
- WAVES/ETH
- WAVES/TRY
- WAVES/USDT
Despite the announcement, the three cryptocurrencies saw double-digit price increases, with XEM down 12.88%, OMG down 14.51%, and WAVES down 18.17% over the past 24 hours. Binance will stop accepting deposits of these tokens on June 18 and withdrawals on September 18. The exchange may convert the tokens into stablecoins, but no guarantee has been made. Binance regularly reviews listed cryptocurrencies to ensure they meet industry standards, considering factors like development activity, team commitment, liquidity, regulatory requirements, and network stability.
