BTC has achieved another record recently, more precisely it has processed 1 billion transactions since 2009! In my opinion this great milestone outlines its growth in terms of adoption as a decentralized payment network. In fact, if we compare BTC with VISA or Ether, Bitcoin still dominates the scene. Also, This achievement seems that have been appreciated by investors recently (+12% since recent low). However, beside this great milestone, I believe that BTC still presents some issues in terms of scalability and environmental impacts. Bitcoin still has troubles on handling lots of transactions quickly, causing delays and high fees.
