#write2earn #Bitcoin‬ Hits $60,000: Surging Demand and Optimism Propel Crypto Rally #bullRun #BullishTrends #ATH. $BTC Bitcoin surged to $60,000, marking its highest value in over two years, driven by growing optimism that interest in the cryptocurrency is broadening beyond its core enthusiast base. The cryptocurrency's value has already soared more than 40% since the beginning of the year, propelled partly by the successful introduction of US exchange-traded funds (ETFs) holding Bitcoin. These ETFs have attracted over $6 billion in investments since their launch on January 11. Bitcoin last reached $60,000 in November 2021, following its peak near $69,000 earlier that same month. "It's quite astonishing," remarked Ryan Kim, head of derivatives at digital-asset prime brokerage FalconX. An upcoming reduction in Bitcoin's supply growth, known as the halving, is contributing to the positive sentiment. This factor, coupled with an ongoing rally that has ignited speculative interest in various other tokens like Ether and Dogecoin, is fueling what some describe as a "fear of missing out" (FOMO) rally. "We're witnessing a clear FOMO-driven rally," observed Zaheer Ebtikar, founder of crypto fund Split Capital. "More and more people are becoming convinced to invest." Bitcoin is on track for its most significant monthly gain since December 2020, when it surged 50% to around $9,600. Its value has more than tripled since the beginning of last year, rebounding from a steep 64% decline in 2022. This remarkable resurgence follows a period of skepticism fueled by scandals and bankruptcies within the crypto industry. Despite expectations for tighter monetary policy, reflected in rising US Treasury yields, digital tokens like Bitcoin continue to rally. Bitcoin has outperformed traditional assets such as stocks and gold in 2024.

#Write2earn ETHEREUM LAYER 2 ADOPTION SURGES IN 2024: CONCERNS RISE OVER LIQUIDITY FRAGMENTATION #Ethereum #Layer2 #Layer2s #Blast $ETH $AAVE $ARB Activity and total value locked (TVL) on Ethereum Layer 2s have seen significant growth in 2024, with transactions per second (TPS) and TVL steadily increasing over the past six months. However, the continuous announcement of new Layer 2 solutions raises concerns among analysts regarding liquidity fragmentation issues. The surge in Layer 2 usage coincided with notable events such as the implementation of EIP-4844 and the launch of Blast. Since its launch on February 29, Blast has become the 6th largest chain by TVL. Additionally, the introduction of EIP-4844 resulted in a substantial increase in transactions per block on other Layer 2s. DeFi Maestro, a strategist at Mantle, expressed concern about the proliferation of individual chains in the DeFi space, highlighting the growing problem of liquidity fragmentation and user attention. Liquidity fragmentation refers to the dispersion of active liquidity across various chains and protocols, leading to market and protocol inefficiencies due to low volume concentration. These concerns arise as Aave unveils its vision for Aave Network, a native Layer 2 solution for the Aave Protocol and its GHO stablecoin. Despite the rising adoption of Layer 2 solutions, Ethereum (ETH) has experienced inflation over the past 30 days. ETH's supply is currently increasing at a rate of 0.51% per year, resulting in a projected surplus of 612,000 ETH annually. While Ethereum Layer 2s benefit from increased transactional value and inherit the security of the ETH mainnet, the total amount of ETH burned remains notably lower compared to similar activity on the mainnet.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust Becomes World's Largest Crypto Fund with Nearly $20 Billion in Assets #ETFvsBTC #Bitcoin #BitcoinETF #Blackrock $BTC BlackRock Inc.’s iShares Bitcoin Trust has emerged as the largest global fund for Bitcoin, accumulating nearly $20 billion in total assets since its launch in the US earlier this year. The launch of BlackRock and Fidelity's Bitcoin ETFs, along with seven others on January 11, marked a significant milestone in the cryptocurrency world. These new funds made Bitcoin more accessible to investors and contributed to a rally in the token, pushing its price to a record high of $73,798 by March. Since its inception, the iShares Bitcoin Trust has attracted substantial inflows, totaling $16.5 billion. In contrast, the Grayscale fund has seen outflows of $17.7 billion during the same period, potentially driven by higher fees and exits by arbitrage traders. Neither BlackRock nor Grayscale Investments LLC provided comments outside regular US business hours. According to a March regulatory filing, Grayscale plans to launch a clone of its main fund with lower fees. SEC's Shift Towards Ether ETFs Recently, the SEC surprised many by moving towards approving ETFs for Ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market value. Under Chair Gary Gensler, the agency remains cautious about the crypto industry due to various scandals. The Bitcoin ETFs, with combined assets of $58.5 billion, are considered one of the most successful new ETF categories. However, critics argue that the inherent volatility of digital assets makes them unsuitable for widespread adoption, even within ETFs. Bitcoin's price has quadrupled since the beginning of last year, bolstered by the introduction of these ETFs, marking a significant recovery from the bear market of 2022. As of 12:48 p.m. Wednesday in Singapore, Bitcoin was trading at approximately $68,797, reflecting a 1% increase.
