🚨 Attention: Read this to avoid scams! 🚨
After three years in the industry, working on numerous corporate projects and building my own communities, I've encountered various scams - even falling victim to one myself. Let's discuss a few:
1️⃣ Scammers often impersonate managers from community project accounts, sending private messages to deceive members. They may request actions like clicking on links (which could lead to hacking) or sending money under false promises. Remember, legitimate project managers won't DM you for requests.
2️⃣ Once, I was in talks with a project team for advertising and collaboration. They mimicked the account so well that I couldn't detect it. After gaining my trust over three days, they sent me files containing a disguised virus, causing severe damage to my computer. Always use a separate computer for opening such links, especially if they contain sensitive information.
3️⃣ Recently, there have been reports of fraud through Binance Launchpool activities. Remember, Binance Launchpool projects are only accessible through Binance Launchpool. Beware of scammers trying to lure you into investing in fake contracts through other platforms.
4️⃣ Don't trust anyone who approaches you privately offering a project. A follower in my community fell victim to a scammer who seemed sincere at first but ended up swindling $3,000. Creating a fake Telegram account is easy and cheap. Stay cautious and avoid private messages with suspicious links.
