More precisely, a #phishing attack😕
A #memcoin trader lost $453,0000 worth of #PEPE after he clicked on a phishing link. Attackers withdrew more than 356 billion tokens from his 0x9ea22 address in two transactions.
And he's not the only one.
Another user reported in the comments of a Scam Sniffer tweet that he lost 2.7 billion PEPE as a result of the same attack and is now looking for ways to get the funds back.
#Data from the Dune Analytics platform showed that the scammers were responsible for stealing more than $7 million in assets from 5,000 victims. Since March 27, they have created about 700 phishing sites targeting various trending #projects .
Yes, this is a real boon.
Check site addresses more often and don't click on the wrong links, friends.
