According to TechFlow, Uniswap Labs announced the launch of the UniswapX protocol beta, a new permissionless, open source (GPL), Dutch auction-based protocol for transactions across AMMs and other liquidity sources.

The protocol is available on the Ethereum mainnet and is planned to be expanded to other blockchains and Uniswap wallets. UniswapX provides better prices by aggregating liquidity sources, enabling gas-free swaps, avoiding fees when trades fail, and protecting against the "maximum extractable value" (MEV). In the coming months, UniswapX will further expand to cross-chain swaps and enable gas-free functionality.
