PANews reported on May 16 that according to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Secret Service San Francisco Field Office and the Bay Area Regional Law Enforcement Joint Computer Team (REACT) held an AMA event on Reddit. Although some regulators still regard cryptocurrencies as tools for fraudsters and scammers, the REACT Task Force praised the public and transparent nature of blockchain as an "excellent opportunity" to combat criminals from tracking the flow of funds.

In addition, the U.S. Secret Service said in response to questions that it is a cryptocurrency holder and a cryptocurrency enthusiast, and the agency said that by owning cryptocurrencies, it can help them better understand the deeper mechanisms of the crypto world. When a reddit user asked whether the U.S. Secret Service would consider launching its own "memecoin", the agency responded that it had launched its own NFT series on OpenSea.

The OpenSea page shows that the United States Secret Service San Francisco Field Office NFT series was created in October 2022.
