According to BlockBeats, on November 5, the decentralized lending protocol Aave said on the social platform that it had received a problem report about a function of the Aave protocol. After verification with community developers, the following temporary precautions have been taken: suspending the Aave V2 Ethereum market; suspending certain assets on Aave V2 on Avalanche; freezing certain assets on Aave V3 on Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. The team said that funds on all Aave markets are risk-free. Aave V3 markets on Ethereum, Base, and Metis, and V2 markets on Polygon and Avalanche are not affected. A governance proposal to restore normal operation of the protocol will be submitted soon, and a detailed post-mortem analysis will be released after the problem is fully resolved. Users who provide/borrow frozen assets can still withdraw and repay positions, but they cannot provide or borrow more funds until they are resolved. For suspended assets, no operations can be performed until the suspension is lifted.
