Barbara Fried’s article: Please let go of the blame

Barbara Fried published the article Musk is referring to, "Beyond Blame," in the Boston Review in 2013, when SBF was just 19 years old.

She explores the issue of moral responsibility in depth and believes that the main factors that cause people to commit crimes are genetic and environmental factors, and these are beyond choice. She therefore advocates for the replacement of punitive policies such as incarceration with rehabilitation and harm reduction, noting the rising tide of blame over the past 40 years.

She asks why do people strive to fill the world with blame? Are there any alternatives? It is called upon to stop looking for someone to blame immediately when facing a problem, but to ask yourself how to solve the problem and aim to solve the problem.

Apparently, Musk believes that Barbara Fried’s ideas are one of the main factors that contributed to the SBF crime.
