US Congressman: SEC Chairman refuses to provide relevant information, causing Congress to miss investigations into Terra, FTX, etc.
US Congressman Tom Emmer tweeted that he received news from multiple sources that the collection of information about crypto companies by Gary Gensler, Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), was not targeted, intentional, or clear. On the contrary, the SEC's request was arbitrary and unfocused. Gary Gensler refused to provide Congress with the requested information, resulting in missing the Terra/Luna, Celsius, Voyager, and FTX incidents. Earlier, Tom Emmer said that the office received a report that Gary Gensler helped SBF and FTX obtain a regulatory monopoly through legal loopholes.
