PANews reported on January 13 that according to Cointelegraph, Gary Gensler, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said that Grayscale's victory played a key role in the approval of the Bitcoin spot ETF. Gensler said in an interview with CNBC that the court's ruling in favor of Grayscale in August 2023 changed the SEC's view on the Bitcoin spot ETF. He said: "Over the years, we have rejected many Bitcoin spot ETF applications, but things have changed. I firmly believe in the rule of law and respect the courts. In view of the new court ruling, we decided to move forward. I think this is the most sustainable way forward."
