🇺🇸 The head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gary Gensler, said that the US does not need more digital currencies.

“We don’t need more digital currency… we already have digital currency, it’s called the U.S. dollar. We have not seen, over the centuries, that economies and the public need more than one way to move value.” he said.

I feel like they are trying to exert power over cryptocurrency in favour of the upcoming elections. I dont know why SEC cant be a body for all and not the just the government.
