As per CoinDesk, citing research from investment bank Jefferies, Bitcoin miners in the United States accounted for 25.3% of the hashrate in December 2022. This marks a significant contribution to the global Bitcoin network. On average, these miners generated $59,585 per day per exahash, reflecting a 7.1% increase compared to November. This increase is attributed to the rising price of Bitcoin during that period. US-based Bitcoin mining has grown rapidly in recent years, driven by factors such as low-cost electricity and abundant sources of renewable energy. As a result, the US has emerged as a major hub for Bitcoin mining operations.
