The Story Behind Err Hold by Botto: Upcoming Auction on SuperRare, Wednesday at 4 PM EST

🧵 1/ On January 9, 2025, a @BottoDAO vote kicked off on a proposal from @ASAcurates on behalf of the @Kanbas_ Collection seeking to privately purchase the iconic "Err Hold" by Botto for 70 ETH, directly from the Botto treasury. Discussion was split on whether the DAO should be selling one of its four remaining Genesis pieces in the treasury at that price, even if to a great collector, given the fast growing recognition of the Genesis collection.

In the late 1990s, @davidhenrynobo1 infiltrated NYC’s most exclusive parties as ‘Alex Von Furstenberg.’ Armed with a $20 suit and a borrowed name, he crashed hundreds of events, exposing the absurdity of fame and identity in a pre-social media world.
Now, Vonfurstimpressions—a prophetic critique of the spectacle of celebrity—is on the blockchain via @SuperRare. 💎
