BUY NOW 💚💚💚$JUP #Jupiter(JUP) #newsdaily Happy to share that we’ve made Price API more accurate for our users, and are working on further improvements!
We provide real-time prices for almost 60,000 tokens on Solana today for free. As the number of tokens with different liquidity depths and routes grew, it became more challenging to do this quickly and ensure accuracy for every token all the time.
The prices on our API are based on the unit “Buy” price that you can get for a token on Jupiter, which can give unexpected results. For example, when there is a cheap intermediate token available to route through, the price returned can have a large temporary dip.
We updated our queries on the Price API to give pricing results that only route through top tokens. This has reduced the severity and frequency of large dips that were seen previously.
In addition, we are working on bringing to you new data, such as Sell price, Mid and Spread values. These can serve as indicators when the price is unreliable and help users to choose a value for their use case. For example, for tokens with low liquidity, the Buy price can be much higher than Sell.
Calculating the Sell price is more challenging and complex for our systems to provide in real-time across 60k tokens, and is not always possible to calculate for tokens depending on the AMMs that they are on. However, we are excited to explore this enhancement to give you more ways to interact with Price API and get the result you desire.

$JUP Jupiter: Technical Issues & Incoming Upgrades
Over the last few months, we have working hard behind the scenes for a series of infrastructure, process and ux upgrades to scale and harden the myraid number of systems that run Jupiter.
Recent Issues
The urgency of these efforts really became apparent in the last month, as several key issues emerged:
1. Severe lag in picking up new tokens and markets
2. Perps/JLP not functioning well due to oracle issues*
3. Transaction submission issues due to spam
4. Quote API lag due to overloading
5. Long wait times for strict list verification
Root Issues
These stem from a range of root issues, including but not limited to:
1. Solana network congestion causing onchain oracles to become stale and difficulties in creating the needed token accounts for our routing
2. Spamming of our RPC endpoints causing user txns to fail
3. Massive explosion in the number of tokens, markets being created
4. Spam tokens with overlapping names
5. Huge increase in the number of strict list applications, requiring hours everyday for team and cwg to filter through
Coming Upgrades
To tackle these issues, we are working on a series of major updates:
1. Metropolis: A total redesign of our markets and token system, ranging from the backend to frontend systems
2. Ecosystem token list: A rethink of the current strict list approach, looping in both data and the community to help filter out the right tokens
3. Oracle solutions: Reducing our reliance on onchain oracle option
4. Submission options: Both optimizing our backend txn submissions and also giving users more power on the frontend
5. Much improved observability: Having a set of full of metrics to understand and observe our systems at various levels
We will start rolling out the first of these efforts, starting with Metropolis tomorrow. Note that these efforts are on top of extensive upgrades that we had already done in preparation for the JUP launch. #Binance #memecoins"
