This order establishes the Presidential Working Group on Digital Asset Markets, led by David Sacks, and includes key figures such as the Treasury Secretary, Attorney General, and the heads of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The group's mandate is to propose a comprehensive federal regulatory framework for digital assets within 180 days. A notable aspect of the order is its directive to explore the creation of a national digital-asset stockpile, potentially utilizing seized cryptocurrencies.
