Why do we need to reduce the gap between the number of KYC’d and Mainnet migrated Pioneers? Because we want to include as many of them as possible in the Open Network!

Open Network Conditions and Timeline Update! Pioneers, we have reached the remarkable achievements of 18 million KYC’d people and 8 million people migrated to Mainnet. Pi Network will launch Open Network in Q1 of 2025! This timeframe will allow the network to have more Pioneers migrated to Mainnet and included in the Open Network, thus reducing the gap of the KYC’d and Migrated Pioneers. It will also support the network in reaching its 10 million migration goal under the Open Network condition. We have always prioritized accessibility and inclusivity, and therefore, we want to give more Pioneers the opportunity to use their Pi once Open Network launches. Essential reminder — complete your Mainnet Checklist steps to migrate to Mainnet if you’ve completed KYC! Passing KYC alone will not enable the migration process yet because Pioneers still need to set up and confirm their wallet (and store the passphrase safely), sign the Token Acknowledgement, and finish any other steps on the Mainnet checklist. Migration will be enabled only when the checklist steps are fully completed. All other steps can be completed even before KYC. No reason to wait on these steps especially after completing KYC, given the Grace Period deadlines. Migrate your Pi to Mainnet as soon as possible to avoid forfeiture and to use your Pi with others before and after Open Network. $PI $BTC $ETH $BNB

Recent Pi KYC improvements unblocked a large scale number of Pioneers to submit their KYC or proceed in their KYC process. Go to the Pi mining app to read these updates that include enabling over 1 million people to apply, resubmissions for some rejected applications, resolving tentative KYC status, and other fixes for blocked submissions. Upcoming enhancements will address name mismatches, provide scalable tentative status resolution and further streamline the process.
