🐳 Reason of the dump: DeepSeek. This is a Chinese startup that claims to work as good as ChatGPT, but costs 30 times less. Why is it so disturbing for markets? Donald Trump has just announced a huge $500 billion injection in US AI sector. Turns out Chinese can do the same with only $10 million of investments. Thus, American AI market may be severely overvalued! That's how tech stocks dumped hard overnight. Nasdaq is down today because of the Deepseek AI from China which is currently changing the whole market framework regarding the costing of the AI. With fraction of cost, Deepseek is producing almost as better as the ChatGPT does. With this kind of news, it appears to be valuation shock all around the market right now. People are too afraid that it might be an over valuation in the AI industry right now and that’s why market is dropping. What I ultimately wait for now is to look for buy the dip opportunity. They spread news and rumors to push altcoins and BTC down so they can buy them at lower prices. Meanwhile, those who got stuck in Trump’s coin out of greed are now suffering. They are sitting with losses in the long term, unable to recover. The funny thing is, it’s a meme coin—it has no real use case. It will only go up when Trump gives some kind of news; otherwise, it will remain at a low price and just trade at these levels. Thesis - a lot of people have wrong perception about current Trump’s executive order on crypto. - people think that Trump’s cabinet is applying the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve. - however, it’s not. What they wrote is about the “stockpile” and reviewing the “national digital asset” - maintaining the stockpile and creating the “reserve” is 2 different things. - if it means by maintaining national digital asset, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will accumulate soon. - it’s not yet Bitcoin strategic reserve to be implemented soon. - I still think this is a good point for the long term Bitcoin’s trajectory growth because at least the crypto legalization is now in clarity. - but for short term, I still see the possibility for the correction. Why?? - it’s purely because of the liquidity in the market. There’s no such thing the price can go up with only the retail money (with this multi trillion dollar market cap), the retails don’t have this money. - as long as we don’t get any stimulus from countries, it’s still not very appetizing for crypto in Q1. So far, the FED is still in the “deficit” strategy which mean slightly tightening. - I need to see the FED to pivot anytime between March - May 2025. Otherwise, we’ll still be in this current price action and the trajectory is to the downside. - what I can expect about current Trump’s period is to have eligible power next to the FED to push for more rate cut this year.. I’ll watch this closely, playing it safe..
