On March 30, the local affiliate of Brazil's largest and most influential open source TV channel reported on the significant adoption of bitcoin (BTC) in Llorente, a small city in the south of the country.
An article published on the X (former Twitter) account Bitcoineaqui describes the implementation taking place and briefly explains what #bitcoin is. The three-minute report was broadcast by RBS TV, an affiliate of Rede Globo, Brazil's largest media group.
It is worth noting that Ricardo Stim started the implementation process by approaching the Llorente merchants' association and encouraging them to accept bitcoin for payment.
