Quick take:

  • Binance CMO Rachel Conlan announced the news via an X post.

  • Walker brings nearly a decade of experience covering the crypto industry.

  • She was a content creator at CoinMarketCap between 2021 and 2022 and joined The Coin Bureau in June 2023.

Binance has hired Jessica Walker to lead its new content initiatives. The crypto exchange company’s CMO Rachel Conlan announced the news via an X post on Tuesday.

In the announcement, Conlan highlighted Walker’s extensive experience in the industry, which spans nearly a decade including stints at crypto media platforms The Coin Bureau and CoinMarketCap where she was a content creator. She also held positions at Bitpanda and the fintech platform Fluid Finance.

“With nearly a decade of experience covering the crypto industry, she’ll be leading new and exciting content initiatives at Binance. Can’t wait to share what’s coming—stay tuned!” Conlan wrote.

Walker was equally delighted with the appointment, repositing the announcement with the caption, “Yay, great to be working with you and the team!”, followed by a rocket emoji.

Walker will be spearheading Binance’s new and existing content initiatives as it looks to cement its position as the world’s leading crypto exchange platform.

Walker’s appointment comes nearly a year after the company rebranded its social platform, Binance Feed to Binance Square, which signalled its evolution from a mere content aggregator to “a vibrant social platform, with user-generated content being a key addition.”

The platform also features a monetisation feature that benefits both content creators and users, whereby creators earn from content contributions through tipping, while users receive incentives via crypto boxes as part of Binance’s affiliate commission program.
