According to Odaily, ARPA Network has announced the official launch of its on-chain verifiable random number generator, Randcast, on the Ethereum Layer 2 solution Taiko. This integration broadens Randcast's service scope, which already includes Ethereum, Optimism, Base, and Redstone, providing decentralized applications (dApps) and Web3 games with a flexible and reliable random number solution.

Randcast leverages ARPA Network's BLS threshold signature scheme to ensure the verifiability and security of random numbers, making it particularly suitable for NFT generation and on-chain game development. With Randcast now available on Taiko, developers can benefit from a secure and convenient on-chain random number service while reducing costs. Currently, the Randcast v0.1.0 version is free, with developers only needing to subscribe to an account to cover Gas fees.
