According to PANews, recent reports from Cointelegraph reveal that crypto hackers have launched a new recruitment scam aimed at spreading malware to gain control over victims' computers and steal cryptocurrency assets. The hackers impersonate recruiters from well-known crypto companies, offering high-paying positions on platforms like LinkedIn and Discord. They lure victims by disguising the malware as solutions to microphone and camera issues. Once victims follow the instructions, hackers can access their devices through a backdoor, potentially emptying their crypto wallets. These attacks target Mac, Windows, and Linux systems. Experts advise those affected to immediately clean their devices and remain vigilant.
