According to Odaily, Layer1 blockchain Avalanche announced the launch of its significant upgrade, Avalanche9000, on Monday. This upgrade introduces several new features aimed at simplifying the process of launching 'subnet' blockchains and reducing the costs associated with running smart contracts. Avalanche9000 is described as the largest upgrade the network has undertaken to date.

The update includes improvement proposals ACP-77, which alters the operation of validators, and ACP-125, which reduces the base fees on Avalanche's main 'C-Chain' network. The team stated on X that this marks the beginning of the launch of hundreds of Avalanche Layer1s. Avalanche9000 has reduced the cost of deploying Layer1 by 99.9%, and with the development of hundreds of Layer1s on the testnet, an explosive growth in launches is expected in the coming months.
