Stablecoin: Redrawing the Global Digital Payments Landscape “Stablecoins will 'swallow' the payments sector,” concluded a16z crypto when evaluating the growth potential of stablecoins. From small retail transactions to billion-dollar cross-border deals, stablecoins are increasingly solidifying their position on the global payments map. Low costs are among their greatest advantages: cross-border transfers using stablecoins can save up to 99% in fees compared to traditional channels.

The Nasdaq exchange 🇺🇸 has proposed a rule change to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to increase the position and volume limits for options on the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) from 25,000 to 250,000 contracts. Nasdaq argues that the higher limit is necessary to accommodate the significant market presence of this ETF.
