According to Odaily, the Kaspa Ecosystem Foundation has announced the launch of the first phase of the Katalyst Development Plan, with a total funding of $10 million. This initiative aims to comprehensively promote the prosperity of the Kaspa ecosystem, covering areas such as financial support, infrastructure development, and education for users and developers. The Katalyst Plan is divided into four strategic stages: Seeding, Sprouting, Growing, and Fruiting. The first phase will commence with the launch of the KRC20 protocol on the mainnet on September 15, based on Kasplex.
Kasplex, as the infrastructure of Kaspa, is designed to enable developers, artists, and influencers to easily initiate projects on the Kaspa platform. The Kaspa ecosystem protocol KRC20 allows users to issue, deploy, mint, and transfer fungible tokens on Kaspa. During a three-month internal testing and stress testing period, the KRC20 protocol successfully processed 90 million transactions. Among the successfully deployed projects, Meme tokens, including the early core founder researcher's cat NACHO, constitute the majority. Other Kaspa ecosystem projects can also utilize KRC20 as a method for asset issuance on their chains, benefiting from Kaspa's high network speed and low transaction fees.
