A review of major events that occurred in the currency circle during the National Day holiday:
September 29: Three Arrows Capital co-founder Zhu Su was arrested in Singapore and sentenced to four months in prison. The U.S. SEC once again postponed its decision on four Bitcoin spot ETFs including BlackRock and Invesco. A team of former Multichain engineers launches a new cross-chain project, ValueRouter.
September 30: The FTX exploiter’s address begins transferring funds after being dormant for 10 months. SEC postpones decision on three more spot Bitcoin ETFs. Invesco submitted an Ethereum spot ETF application to the U.S. SEC. The Floki multi-signature address deposited 15.8 billion FLOKI into Binance and shared the same deposit address with DWF Labs. October 1: The U.S. Senate passes a short-term spending bill to avoid a government shutdown. China Mobile Migu Video's first NFT "Meelier" announced that it will be sold on OpenSea in the form of a blind box. The SEC convened multiple Bitcoin spot EFT applicants to participate in the meeting for discussion. Grayscale has applied to convert the Grayscale Ethereum Trust into an Ethereum spot ETF. Coinbase received a major payment institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The Devnet-9 launch of the 171st Ethereum Core Developer Consensus Conference has been postponed again.
October 3: Fed Mester said it may need to raise interest rates again in 2023 and keep it for a while. The total value of assets involved in Singapore's largest money laundering case further expanded to S$2.8 billion. Starknet ecological derivatives protocol ZKX launches the first phase of token airdrop and will issue 4 million ZKX.
October 4: StarkWare delays Initial Token Unlock to April 2024. Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives McCarthy was removed from office and crypto-friendly congressman Patrick Mchenry took over on an interim basis. Ripple received a major payment institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
October 5: The Sui Foundation will withdraw 117 million SUI from external market makers to support ecological and community development. Arthur Hayes predicts that the price of Bitcoin will reach US$750,000-1 million in 2026.
October 6: Web3 credential data network Galxe was attacked and the website was shut down. Avalanche ecological chain game Ascenders announced that it will cease development.
