MakerDAO has enabled smart destruction and used the surplus funds in the treasury to purchase MKR and add it to Uniswap V2 in the form of an LP with DAI. After 7 hours and 46 minutes, a total of 16 purchases have been executed, with $5,000 worth of MKR being purchased from the chain each time. On average, one purchase was executed every 26 minutes.
