PANews 31 October news, Polygon co-founder Daniel Lubarov stated on the X platform that their zero-knowledge proof system Plonky3 can now process over 2 million Poseidon2 hash operations per second, a development mainly related to memory optimization, including avoiding data duplication, skipping zeroing operations, and merging FFT steps to keep content in cache.
In response, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated: 'The Polygon team has won this race, with a processing speed equivalent to 62 MB of Merkle tree hash calculations per second, enough to complete the re-hash of Ethereum's maximum theoretical consensus state within a single slot.'
