Wu Says learned from @hananotsorry that on the evening of October 24, a DWF partner allegedly placed unknown objects into her drink multiple times at a bar in Hong Kong. DWF responded that the partner is accused of misconduct and unacceptable behavior, and during the investigation of this matter, DWF Labs decided to immediately relieve the partner of his management and operational duties.
The specific process was: both parties drank at the bar; the female went to the restroom; the male took out an unknown object from his pocket and placed it into the female's drink three times. After the female returned and took a few sips, the male stepped outside to take a phone call, and then the waitress reminded her of the male's behavior. The female reported to the police upon returning to Hong Kong on October 29 and requested to view the surveillance footage. The female stated that two waiters also testified to this. Wu Says reviewed the relevant footage and confirmed the existence of the aforementioned behavior.
The video shows that the male party involved is Eugene Ng, a partner at DWF. In addition to being a partner at DWF, Eugene Ng is also a co-founder of OpenEden, a RWA project invested in by Binance. OpenEden has suspended Eugene Ng from his position at the company and removed him from the management and operations of the company and its affiliates. DWFLabs announced on social media that Lingling Jiang will formally take over as a partner at the company, responsible for leading strategic business development.

Hana: I still don’t fully consider myself part of the crypto space. I work in a traditional dollar fund, but I am looking for jobs in crypto.
I met DWF during the Hong Kong Blockchain Week in April this year. Later, at KBW, I met Eugene at an event. He invited me to dinner, and we had a good chat. We also met at Token 2049 in Singapore. He told me he had sent my resume to many people. During this time, he indeed provided me with some alpha, but I didn’t understand and didn’t trade.
We have been keeping in touch. Perhaps every two or three days, he would check in on me. He often cared about me, asking if I was happy that day, but by that time I didn’t feel he had any ulterior motives. Overall, I thought he was very much a gentleman.
Before everything happened in the bar on October 24, I had no defenses. I never thought he would drug someone.
When it was time for the Solana hackathon, Eugene told me that as long as I bought a plane ticket, he would take care of everything else. He asked when I would arrive, and I said I would arrive on the morning of the 24th, and then he suggested we could have dinner together.
Around 8:15 PM on October 24. He sent me the bar address, and I went. There was nothing suspicious during the whole process, except for the earlier comment. He also asked if I needed to put my luggage at his hotel. I booked a hotel for myself.
I arrived at the bar before him. I messaged him saying I really liked this bar. It has a great design, it’s bright, and I liked the entire decor style and music.
Around 8:25 PM, Eugene arrived at the bar and started talking about whom he met at the Solana event. I felt he was trying hard to help me find a suitable job; that was my impression, and I cherished this opportunity.
He started talking about his family, saying he might retire from the scene in a couple of years, discussing his faith, saying he went to church every week. He said his marriage was very unhappy; his wife was very wealthy, and they had two children. They often disagreed on many matters and frequently argued. He said he came from a very poor background, having slept in hostels, airports, and even on the street. He mentioned buying his wife a large villa. In short, he expressed that he was very successful in his career but very painful in his family life. He also told me that their sex life was not good, and they slept in separate beds. Looking back now, this might be a tactic.
Around 10 PM, he said there was a conference call for a project and began making calls from his seat. Around 10:15 PM, I went to the restroom (during the drugging time) and returned to my seat a few minutes later.
We then drank again, and I had about one-third of my drink.
At this point, Eugene said the bar was too noisy and wanted to step outside to take a phone call.
As soon as he stepped out, the waitress rushed to me and told me in English, 'I think the guy put something in your drink.'
The waiters indicated that it was the French couple at the next table who saw the incident and informed her. The waitress checked the surveillance and then decided to tell me and helped me change my drink.
Attached: The surveillance footage reviewed by Wu Says shows that after Hana left, Eugene took out what appeared to be drugs from his thigh pocket, looked around, picked up Hana's wine glass, and three times placed a suspected powdered substance into it, then quickly put it back on the table and took out a napkin to wipe his hands. When Hana returned, she drank from that glass. The whole drugging process took less than a minute.
I was dumbfounded at the time, leaning my head on the side, frozen for dozens of seconds, my mind was blank. I couldn't believe it because, in many aspects, he made me feel that he was quite a good person.
I even think there’s a good chance this thing is false; perhaps someone misread the situation. Because if this is true, it is too frightening.
I felt I couldn't wrongfully accuse Eugene, so I had to confirm whether this matter was true or false. After he returned, I asked him if I could change my drink, and he suddenly got very nervous, snatching his drink away, almost spilling it.
Then I suggested changing to another drink, but he immediately opposed it, saying not to waste that drink and insisted that I must not change it, urging me to drink it quickly.
At this point, I no longer had any illusions and even started to feel a bit scared because I had already drunk one-third (of the drugged drink). The whole tugging process was long; he kept asking me why I wasn’t drinking and trying to get me to drink, and he seemed very anxious.
Around 11:45 PM, I said I was full and wanted to leave, so I called an Uber in advance, but at that time it was particularly hard to get one, I couldn't get one, so I went outside. Hong Kong has various high and low steps, and I felt dizzy and squatted down immediately. Eugene told me not to squat, to stand up, and he kept pulling me up, making me lean on him and rest my hand on him.
At that time, I felt very uncomfortable, my head was dizzy, and I was genuinely scared. I wanted to push him away, but I didn’t have the strength. He placed my hand on his shoulder. I tried to calm myself down for a moment, but then I squatted down again. This happened about three times. However, my phone still hadn’t gotten a taxi, and I was very anxious.
Eugene started talking to me: I'll take you to get a taxi, I have a suite at Murrary, if you treat me better, I can give you more insider information. Girls have it hard; you don't actually need to work on crypto projects, I can give you Alpha to make money. This has been said many times, including the fact that the crypto space is tough.
Later, I canceled that Uber and directly called a taxi. I finally waited for one, looked at the six-minute wait time, but I told him I hadn’t hailed one to lower his guard and delay the time.
My car was finally arriving, and I was scared he would do something to me again. At that moment, I was indeed very dizzy, so I kept squatting on the ground. He pulled me up, and I hugged my legs with both hands, refusing to stand up.
So he squatted down, held me, and kept talking to me, getting very close. I felt dizzy and persisted for six minutes.
He kept insisting I go to his hotel. I said I had already booked and couldn't cancel, and then he said he would cover all my expenses and transfer me USDT. I was already very angry; I said, 'Stop saying that,' and I said it very firmly.
I told him my car had arrived. He still wanted to get in the car with me and even opened the door for me. I said no, I can do it myself. Then I got in; my legs were already soft. When I saw him getting in the car, I was frightened, and with my last bit of strength, I slammed the door shut and told the driver: 'Go quickly!'
The driver might have experienced something similar; he slammed on the gas, and I felt like I was on a roller coaster.
After returning, I lay on the couch for about twenty minutes, mainly in a state of dizziness. Though my alcohol tolerance isn’t great, it shouldn’t lead to such weakness. That kind of fatigue and inability to exert strength is not the state of being drunk.
At that time, I felt very lucky. If this thing had happened, the consequences would have been unimaginable. I felt really disgusted. I am very grateful that the waitress told me.
I also felt very scared; I never thought about how to confront him because I'm nobody, and no one in the crypto circle would listen to me.
Even though I didn’t watch the surveillance at that time, I thought about how bright the lights were and was curious how he managed to put that thing in because the lighting was really bright, and normal people wouldn’t dare do that.
I thought for a moment that he should be an old hand and might have harmed many people already, and he might continue to do so. I felt that was not right, so I made the first call to my best friend in the circle.
He said he would accompany me to Hong Kong, so I booked a flight for 8 AM on October 29. After landing, I had a meal to calm down and had a cup of coffee. I first went to the bar, but it wasn't open yet. So I went directly to the police station.

The police recorded all the information, and I recounted what happened. I took the report to the bar to check the surveillance. As soon as I entered, it was the same waitress who had reminded me earlier (suspected to be of Filipino descent)! Eugene had said he was friends with a shareholder of this bar, and I was a bit scared they might collude.
Seeing the waitress made me very excited because she was a good person. At first, when I entered, I was going to pretend that I lost something (afraid of collusion), but when I saw her, I didn’t pretend and directly told her.
She also said she was very surprised. They had never experienced such a thing, and everyone was astonished. No one would dare to do this in such a bright place.
As soon as she arrived, she asked me what happened next, and I kept talking. Without saying a word, she took the monitoring iPad and the waiters gathered around, all looking at me.
We quickly found the 'drugging segment.'
Before this, I still held some hope for a person, but when I really saw Eugene's face and saw his hand (putting drugs into my drink three times), it felt like I had truly eaten shit.
The waiters were all shocked, saying, 'So messed up, I've never seen anyone do this.' They kept saying that such a person must be a habitual offender, and the smoothness of their actions indicated they had done this many times and had gotten away with it, which is why they dared to act so brazenly without fear.
I took this video and returned to the police station. The police said I was really lucky to have seen him; he was clearly a habitual offender and very skilled. The police indicated they would assist me in the investigation. But unfortunately, because I did not report it on the day it happened, there was no physical evidence. Although there were witnesses and surveillance footage, he would definitely argue and refuse to admit it. The most important evidence was that drink. The police were also quite concerned about my safety and told me to be very careful. They warned that publicly disclosing the surveillance video could potentially infringe on personal privacy.
I thought, regardless of whether the police could arrest him, I had to speak out. So, on the evening of October 29, I posted on Twitter. The speed at which the incident spread was completely beyond my expectations because I only had over 50 followers. I had always worried that no one would look at it after I posted, but fortunately, my friends were continuously supporting me and finding people to retweet.
The most unexpected thing during the process was that someone sent me a cryptocurrency. A friend told me I needed to clarify that this had nothing to do with me.
After posting on Twitter, Eugene contacted me, saying, 'Let me know if you're up to chat.' He then sent several similar messages and called me several times, but I did not answer.
I feel that with the current speed of dissemination, the traffic should have exploded. I am still very satisfied; I feel everyone is very positive in helping to retweet. I am very happy and very comforted. This is very different from what I imagined because I was very scared, worried that no one would care.
