Recently, we were honored to receive an invitation from the Macao Judiciary Police to conduct a training course for officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Gaming-related and Economic Crimes Investigation Department. This occasion marked Binance's first offline law enforcement training course in Macao, becoming a significant step in our continued commitment to cooperating with the law enforcement community in the region closely.

Commitment to Safeguarding Security

The course, hosted at the Macao Judiciary Police College on May 21, saw over 40 participants representing the Criminal Investigation Department and Gaming-related and Economic Crimes Investigation Department.

Carlos Mak, a specialist from Binance's investigation team, led the training course. He shared practical insights on the investigation of blockchain and virtual asset-related crimes, Binance's collaboration with global law enforcement agencies, and learnings from some significant cases that Binance helped resolve over the years.

A spokesperson from the Macao Judiciary Police said, "The Judiciary Police is committed to combating the criminal activities of the digital age by fortifying our crime prevention strategies and persistently enhancing professional training. This approach sharpens our team's skills and acquaints them with techniques to counter virtual asset-related crimes. We appreciate Binance's willingness to voluntarily share their invaluable insights on blockchain and virtual-asset investigations, and we look forward to further cooperation in the future."

Carlos Mak said, "We are honored to conduct this first in-person course with Macao law enforcement officers at the invitation of the Judiciary Police. It was a productive training session, and we are heartened by the opportunity to share our knowledge with the representatives present.

Deepening cooperation with the global law enforcement community underlies Binance's unrelenting commitment to protecting users and building a secure online financial environment. We will continue to be at the forefront in combating financial crime."

Expanding International Cooperation

This training course is part of Binance's global efforts to strengthen cooperation with law enforcement agencies and enhance the safety and stability of the entire Web3 ecosystem.

In 2023 alone, Binance conducted over 120 online and offline law enforcement training sessions or seminars worldwide. Last month, Binance held the first-ever online Law Enforcement Training Day, with over 1,300 law enforcement officers from around the world participating. This reflects the global law enforcement community's increasing focus on virtual asset-related crimes, emphasizing the relevance of and crucial need for such initiatives.
