Allora Labs, previously known as Upshot, has raised $3 million in a funding round that included Archetype, Delphi Ventures, CMS Holdings, ID Theory, and DCF God. The company, which is developing a decentralized network as a layer-1 blockchain on the Cosmos stack, aims to address the issue of "siloed machine intelligence" in AI models. Allora's shift towards AI reflects a growing trend in the blockchain sector, where startups are leveraging decentralized ledger technology to enhance AI training and rewards models. Allora plans to use the funds to expand its team and prepare for its mainnet launch this summer. The company is initially focusing on developing AI-powered DeFi agents, but foresees a range of potential use cases for its technology.
