Guild of Guardians has officially launched globally, and players around the world can now immerse themselves in this immersive mobile RPG experience.
In the game, players work together to "expel the terror sweeping Elderym," a once-living land that is the setting of the game. With strategic combat and collectible NFTs, the game is considered one of the most anticipated Web3 mobile games in the ecosystem.
Immutable Passport reaches 1 million registered users
Signups for the much-anticipated Passport from game developer Immutable have surpassed 1 million, the company said in a tweet, jumping from 400,000 to 1 million in less than a month.
Immutable Passport, which launched in December 2023, acts as an identity manager, allowing players to use a single sign-on and wallet, making it easy to carry digital items between multiple crypto games and web3 marketplaces. The Passport has been integrated into popular games such as Gods Unchained, Blocklete Golf, and Guild of Guardians.
Anichess Partners with Esports Giant Team Secret
Anichess, co-founded by Animoca Brands and Chess.com, is currently working with leading international esports brand Team Secret to enhance the influence of chess in esports through web3 technology. Team Secret CEO John Yao will join Anichess as an advisor.
The partnership will lean on Team Secret’s esports knowledge and experience to improve and enhance the game as Anichess prepares to launch its player versus player (PvP) mode in the second half of 2024.
Known for combining classic chess with the spell of surprise, Anichess brings mysterious lore and strategic challenges to players.
Farcaster raises $150 million
Blockchain social media platform Farcaster has received $150 million in investment. Investment firm Paradigm led the round of financing, with a16z, Haun, Variant, Standard Crypto and USV following suit. Paradigm co-founder Dan Romero said the funds will be used to fund growth and recruit more engineers.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin is a regular user of Farcaster, and the platform currently has 350,000 paying registered users and a growing ecosystem of apps, CoinDesk reported.
Julia Fox uses user-generated KIKI makeup
Julia Fox stunned Twitter with a new look, thanks to web3 beauty platform KIKI World. According to the tweet, Fox was wearing KIKI World’s Play Paint makeup in the color “Cosmic Pearl,” which was co-created by members of the KIKI World community and later launched on Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2 network, Base.
Interestingly, the venue where KIKI World hosted the NFT NYC party in April 2024 now has a permanent cocktail called the “Cosmic Pearl” in honor of the brand.
VeeFriends character hats sold out
Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends Character Hat Collection, which originally launched on May 15 and included six baseball caps embroidered with personality traits of some of VeeFriends’ lovable characters, has officially sold out.
The qualities written on the hat include "ambitious," "fearless," "determined," "gifted," "extroverted," and "focused."
OpenSea and Optimism Launch “Get Based” NFT Series
OpenSea is launching the “Get Based” series to highlight artists on Base, an initiative launched in partnership with Optimism that will highlight emerging artists who will feature special works throughout the series.
OpenSea and Farcaster will feature special works every week, and some of the featured artists include RGB Punks creator Jhekub, Primitives creator Hun, and meme artist Cryptic Poet.
