A campaign was recently launched in Switzerland to encourage the central bank to add Bitcoin (BTC) to its reserves.

People are still wondering what the Swiss National Bank will decide after this campaign, new statements come from the President of the Swiss National Bank, Thomas Jordan.

The Swiss National Bank remains skeptical about buying Bitcoin despite calls from campaigners to change Swiss law, governor Thomas Jordan told the central bank's general assembly on Friday:

“Bitcoin is not without risk and we have not yet decided we want to invest in Bitcoin. For good reasons, actually.

Foreign exchange reserves are international payments. They must be in Liquid form. They have to be sustainable so we can sell and buy them.”
