According to Jinshi, the US real estate builder confidence index rose for the first time in six months in September. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) said that the NAHB monthly confidence index rose by 2 points to 41 points in September, higher than market expectations. The index was 44 in September last year.
The increase in confidence among home builders has led them to scale back incentives they offer to homebuyers. The share of builders lowering their prices fell in September for the first time since April, dropping 1 percentage point to 32%.
